Bodegas Langa is a family-owned winery with over 150 years of tradition, located in Calatayud, the largest producer of Cava in Aragon. Today, the brand continues to thrive under the leadership of the 5th generation – brothers Juan and César Langa.

Terroir & Microclimate
The winery is located in the Marivella area, Calatayud (Utiel-Requena), at an altitude of over 800–1,000 metres above sea level
Rocky soils with a calcareous profile and a Mediterranean, partly continental climate provide favourable conditions for consistently good harvests of Chardonnay and Macabeo

HISTORY. THE CASTLE
The son of Queen Petronilla and Count Ramon Berenguer, Alfonso II the Chaste ruled from 1164 to 1196, becoming the first to unite the rule of Aragon and Barcelona under a single ruler. He thus became the first king of what would later be known as the Crown of Aragon. His reign was of great importance, including the founding of cities such as Teruel.
Why the nickname “the Chaste”? It seems that, unlike the monarchs before him, Alfonso had no mistresses and remained completely faithful to his wife, Sancha of Castile.
